Visionary and authentic : welcome to Monolithe !

nd to put some sense back in your home or your work area, what’s best than the pieces of furniture, lighting and accessories by Monolithe edition, at the same time beautiful and useful, refined and durable, contemporary and timeless ! Designed by Julie Pfilgersdorffer, Piergil Fourquié and Pierre Dubourg, the very first collection by Monolithe edition is made of seven major pieces : a coffee table in indoor and outdoor versions, a couple of bookshelves, a table or pendant lamp and bookends. The seven creations can form a coherent set or can live separately, mixing with other pieces of furniture.

It is forbidden to forbid …to touch !

You will be able to discover our new and innovative collection at the Medicis-gallery Marguerite Milin in Paris until March 11th. Even if the creations by Monolithe are showcased in an art gallery, you will never find a « do not touch » sign. To really feel a piece of furniture and picture your future with it, it is crucial to not only look at it, but to connect by touching it… Touching to be touched…What a beautiful way to begin a relationship !

A midsummer (or midwinter) night’s dream with the L88 lamp

What if we started this tactile trip with the L88 table or pendant lamp ! All it takes is to let your hand softly wander on the opal sanded white globe, to caress its light frame in brushed brass to feel peaceful. You will spend precious moments of life, evenings with friends chatting and laughing, wrapped up in the softness and warmth of the lighted lamp inspired by Parisian cafés. It will become a part of you, your history, your daily life…What’s best is that it perfectly suits its main purpose : the light !

A free bookcase

Now, let’s talk about the Klec bookcase : if you run your hand across the light and airy frame, you get the impression that Baudelaire and Apollinaire would be at ease. Its curved shape, the open cage are inspiring poetry… and freedom too ! The freedom to put it wherever you want : leaning against a wall or in the middle of a room, without getting the feeling of being oppressed or restrained. The freedom to lay whatever you like on it : books of course, but art works too. Next, you put the palm of your hand against the storage unit that serves as its base : the foundations are strong, this bookcase will never let you down. The feeling of freedom increases tenfold when you learn you can customise the finishes : storage unit in mahogany or light oak, frame in white or black lacquered metal. Our inner cage is opening.

Of all materials, marble is the best…

A bookcase without bookends would be like a bird without wings. Spontaneously, your hands will go to the bookends « Charles & Elie », sculpted in marble. Wrapped in the sensuality of Marquina or Carrara marble, books will never want to leave them…

High-end coffee tables

When you lay your eyes on the Hansel and Gretel indoor coffee tables for the first time, you have the urge to press your hands on the top in light oak to connect with the material’s nobility, warmth and authenticity. Then you brush the base in Carrara to enjoy further more the smooth encounter between the two materials. The magic happens. In an outdoor version, the high-end coffee tables cast their spell too. You will be attracted to the idea of playing with heights and diameters and fall in love with the refined alliance between the base in slate and the delicacy of the top in anthracite lacquered metal..
