An emblematic pair of 1970's chairs with a frame totally made of chromed metal, seat and backseat in printed fabric.
Chromed metal was used in the 1920's by future great designers such as Charlotte Perriand or Eileen Gray for their creations. Forsaken after World War II, it comes back in the 1970's. Architects (Renzo Piano et Richard Rogers for the Centre Pompidou for instance) and designers (Vertebre Rib by Pierre Vandel) used this material to reveal frames that were previously hidden or to enhance traditional materials like mahogany or pallisander by bringing a more contemporary shine.
